"The inspiration derives from the certain Estonian poem books, which have kept me company while moving to another house or another country.

I studied painting before I knew anything about jewellery art. I love the smell of the oil paintings and the illusion one can create onto the flat canvas.

The necklaces in this exhibition are made partly out of my old paintings, which I have cut into pieces.

The feeling I try to catch is somehow similar to the poem or to the painting itself.

This world for me is in between lightness and darkness, sometimes obscure, sometimes very sharp. Vulnerable.

A poem is a concentration. A point of concentration is what I’m looking for. Like a sharp cut with the scalpel in your consciousness it might hurt in order to heal.

There will be new space to breathe and understand. Through pain and compassion I see beauty."
