GAo ShAn is a contemporary jewelry and art gallery located in the Design District of Helsinki. The gallery is suitable for exhibitions in the fields of jewelry, textile and fashion design and contemporary art. Currently this is the only gallery in Helsinki with the main focus on Finnish jewelry culture, with the special focus area of promoting jewelry designers and artist’s work. We are now accepting applications for new exhibitions and projects in the premises of the gallery. The exhibition space of the gallery consists of 3,58 meters high space of 17m2 in size with a large window giving to Korkeavuorenkatu.

Applications for organizing exhibitions at gallery Gao Shan are made by filling in the application form. The applications must be accompanied by an exhibition plan, a CV of the artist(s) and possible other visual material. Applications for organizing an exhibition should be made at latest three months before the planned opening date of exhibitions. The applicants for exhibitions will be contacted in due course.

Also on display will be traditional pieces of art produced by contemporary silver and goldsmiths. Artist-designers from all corners of the globe, including highly talented emerging designers from internationally acclaimed academies, will be exhibiting exciting work not found anywhere else.

  • 12-14 good high resolution (min. 330 dpi ) photo’s of your work on a white background OR on a professional model (shoot)
  • a CV
  • artist’s statement and 
  • all information on the pieces, materials, prices etc. all information on the pieces, materials etc. in the caption of each picture.

We do not look at any application if we do not receive all as asked.

If we have downloaded your wetransfer you will receive a notification from wetransfer,  so you know we received your application. We will inform you of our findings in approximately 14 working days after we received the wetransfer map.

JOYA Barcelona Art Jewellery & Objects is the main art jewellery and art objects event in Spain. Gathering a great number of independent artists as well as related organizations, schools and other entities. JOYA, in its 11th edition will be focused on the communicative and diplomatic meaning of the art jewellery and objects in nowadays. JOYA 2019 will take place on the October 10th, 11th and 12th 2019 at Disseny Hub Barcelona, Spain.
The Event 
Its goal is to promote national and international artists through exhibition and communication, support jewellery and help open up an artistic market that has remained under exploited until now. Moreover, JOYA is a platform for artists to interact and share experiences and discuss their common issues, an opportunity for artists, press, distributors and interested audience to come into contact. During 3 days, JOYA offers the designers a pleasant new space and environment to increase their contact lists and exhibit their pieces. The event is organized by Le Département Interiors S.L and directed by Paulo Ribeiro.

Professional individual artists working in the field of jewellery and crafts as well as artists from other fields of art and design that focus on the new ideologies and aesthetic views of art jewellery and art objects are eligible to participate in JOYA. Candidates from all countries and nationalities will be eligible to participate in the exhibition. There are no restrictions regarding material, size and concept of the pieces, however, no brand names will be represented. To be eligible to participate, the artist should be properly registered as a self-employed worker in the Social Security system or be part of a company for taxation purposes.

A jury according to the following criteria selects the participating artists in JOYA: originality and innovation of designs, concept, material use, craftsmanship and coherence under a theme or research line. The selection of the artists who will be participating to JOYA 2019 will be officially divulgated by e-mail on May 20th, 2019.

I would like to invite you to submit work for selection to be included in the fifth book of the collection entitled New Bracelets: 500+ Contemporary Jewellery Designs.

In this new book, we attempt to gather a relevant, inspirational and contemporary sample of bracelets from all around the world. The selected pieces will be featured with the profile of the artist and technical details of the work. The publisher will be Promopress (

Every nomination is based entirely on the merit of the work submitted for selection. In case your work is selected for publication it will entail no fees on your part and you will receive a free copy of the book New Bracelets: 500+ Contemporary Jewellery Designs. However, shipping expenses from Barcelona to your destination are not included.

Please find participation requirements in the attached file and also in the following link: bracelets . Keep in mind that the quality of the images you are submitting will play a definite role in the nominations; therefore, send only best quality, both professional and artistic photographs of your most recent work. Images should be in TIF format; in CMYK color model and the resolution should be at least 300 dpi. Each picture should have a maximum size of 297 x 210 millimeters (A4) or a minimum size of 180 x 240 millimeters.

Coda Museum brings magical Finland to Apeldoorn with jewellery exhibition  09.02.2019 to 16.06.2019

With nature as a boundless source of inspiration and the influences of a silent and rough landscape, CODA Museum’s exhibition  Northern Light – jewellery from Finland  captures the feeling of Europe’s extreme northTarja Tuupanen, Eija Mustonen and Anna Rikkinen organised and realised this exhibition at the invitation of CODA. A unique selection that has a very distinct focus, yet one that also links to the CODA collection, which, with over  9000 objects, is the largest collection of contemporary jewellery in the world. The pieces of jewellery shown in  Northern Light  have different sizes and are made from a wide range of materials. The exhibition offers a diversity of jewellery made using new and surprising techniques, including designs that are realised in CODA Museum with a state-of-the-art 3D printer.  Northern Light  is staged from 9 February 2019 to 16 June 2019.
