Museum brings magical Finland to Apeldoorn with jewellery exhibition
With nature as a boundless source of inspiration and the influences of a silent and rough landscape, CODA Museum’s exhibition Northern Light – jewellery from Finland captures the feeling of Europe’s extreme north. Tarja Tuupanen, Eija Mustonen and Anna Rikkinen organised and realised this exhibition at the invitation of CODA. A unique selection that has a very distinct focus, yet one that also links to the CODA collection, which, with over 9000 objects, is the largest collection of contemporary jewellery in the world. The pieces of jewellery shown in Northern Light have different sizes and are made from a wide range of materials. The exhibition offers a diversity of jewellery made using new and surprising techniques, including designs that are realised in CODA Museum with a state-of-the-art 3D printer. Northern Light is staged from 9 February 2019 to 16 June 2019.
